Explore how we make smart, empowering connections that improve Lives

We help disadvantaged populations in low- and middle-income countries to advance for the benefit of all of us.

We do this by developing both ‘hard’ infrastructure, such as roads, bridges and schools, and ‘soft’ infrastructure, such as the institutions, systems and skills to support inclusive economic growth.

With a UK head office in Redhill, south of London, and nine offices worldwide, we employ over 400 staff and consultants working in water and sanitation, rural livelihoods, communications, private sector development, engineering, economics, trade and investment, innovation, resilient and urban development, and programme evaluation.

In 2017, we have delivered 132 projects in 48 countries for funders such as the EU, World Bank and UK and US governments, from the Caribbean to Vanuatu to South Sudan, Somalia and Myanmar.

Whether rehabilitating schools in Pakistan, linking Nepal’s farmers with banks, or helping African entrepreneurs to use technologies that make water affordable, we develop the contextually appropriate solutions that produce social and economic impact.

This website is a snapshot of some of the aid projects and impacts that we are delivering worldwide.
